Dear Parents and Guardians,

       Each year the fourth grade students at Brentwood Elementary learn how to play the recorder in music class. I have asked students what color of recorder they prefer and will send out the order at the end of the week. Students will be asked to bring in $6.00 to cover the cost of the recorder, the neck strap and practice pages.

       Please do not bring your own recorder from home as all recorders must be the same brand to have the best tone quality as a group and individually. But having an extra recorder of your choice at home for practice will be very beneficial for the progress of your student.

       Please bring money into the office as soon as possible so your student may receive their instrument when the recorders arrive. The students will also receive specific song pages and a recorder music packet from me when we start playing. Students will be responsible for their recorder, neck strap and music. Replacements will be available for purchase if needed.
